See how our exposition booth slowly takes shape and watch it being installed in the surroundings of Hall 9. We supply you with some fascinating insights as well as interesting background information concerning all aspects of our presence and presentation at the trade fair. Take a look at what we are doing from time to time.
We're using up a lot of material here in Hanover. For example, the entire exhibition space is furnished with a 150 mm high double floor laid with PVC flooring. That requires 1630 square meters of 500 x 500 mm prefabricated Gerflor tiles, as well as 752 sq. m. of needle felting, 222 sq. m. of carpeting and 115 sq. m. of laminate. Plus we also have to apply emergency escape route marking to the floor. That means 150 little round silver metal plates to be glued on at one-meter intervals.
In addition to the exhibition area, we also need lots of other space at the fair booth. For customers and visitors, there will be a lounge, a hospitality area and several meeting rooms. Behind the scenes, we need lots of room for technical equipment, staff rooms and catering. Of course, we also provide space for the back office and the press area. Given all these needs, we faced a number of challenges in planning. But we managed to solve them all.
The size of the trade fair booth in Hanover is huge. Siemens will have 3,400 square meters of space to exhibit its solutions and innovations. A basic element of the booth design is the cube. This element is used as the central idea throughout the entire setup. Modular building blocks are joined together to form a clear structure - the cube. The large blocks are covered with polyester material and their entire surfaces are backlit. The result is a very modern, three-dimensional style element.
Visitors will already see the booth from far away, thanks in part to our three medialifters at the edge of the booth. The medialifters are 6x3 meter cubes with LED screens on which Siemens will present the entire range of its world of products. A hoisting apparatus will raise the medialifters about 2.4 m off the ground, making them highly visible eye-catchers.
In the middle of the fair booth will be a "drives boulevard" - leading the entire length of the booth. It's very impressive. Along the "drives boulevard", the counters with the displays will be arranged. By walking down this boulevard, the visitor see Siemens' complete portfolio for drives - motors, gear trains, frequency converters. Now we just have to make sure that everything gets put in the right place.
We have a very exciting task ahead of us: Our schedule is tight, because everything has to be up and running by April 20. By that date, we will have brought the 3400 sq.m. space in Hall 9 to life. Just the lighting alone will be huge: The booth is lit by over 14 light poles, each 9 meters tall.
